I was assigned to interview a journalist who came the workshop to give a first-hand account of the jobs she has worked on in her career. She gave us some very helpful and important advice when it comes to being a journalist. Some of my favorite pieces of advice were, "Be open to people", "You have to be willing to leave the garbage behind", and "Remember who you are." Those were some of the things she said that really stood out for me, because it reminds me that not all reporters are bad, not all of them stretch the truth or lie about what ever there talking about. Not all media is bad. So after that we all went back to our story's we all are working on and I got scheduled a phone interview with they former Wilbur and Wilma. I also tried to get in contact with the head of cheerleading but I couldn't get in touch so I was redirected to A women named Roberta Stout and see if she has a archive on Wilbur and Wilma, so it was a very interesting day.
