On June 09, 2015, the participants of the Dow Jones News fund Journalism Diversity Workshop for high school students at UA, were given a chance to interact with animals such as tortoises, gila monster, rosie boa, and black diamondback rattlesnake as a part of their multimedia workshop task.

Desert animals are awesome and without a doubt fascinating to interact with or even just look at. Sure there are some that are poisonous and can kill you, but for the most part, they’re adorable.
Warning: Cuteness Overload!!!!!!
Desert tortoises, for example, who can live for up to 80 years, just couldn’t get any cuter. I mean, just look at that smile!
Here are some of the other photos taken during the day:

Over all, it was a fun filled, productive day. I learned new information during the process, plus I get to hang out with desert animals! It was truly an engaging day. I’m glad that I am able to become a part of this amazing workshop.
