By: America Parra
So, the ironic thing is that I was born in Lake Havasu City, Arizona… in America and raised in México for about 15 years (almost my whole life) and that my name is America… America Parra. Not ‘Murica but America, and Parra like the baseball player. No, we are not related…
I am bilingual, since I both speak and write English and Spanish. My parents are Alejandro and Marina. I have a little brother, whose name is Alex Parra, seven years old.
I have a passion for, singing, writing, creating, learning, playing the guitar, presenting speeches, and God. My parents are my inspiration, along with Mario Benedetti, Gabriel García Márquez, Cash Luna, and my pastor superintendent Abel Robles Infante, from the church I assist located in Mexicali, Baja California, México; Congregación Cristiana Internacional Eliezer (C.C.I.E.).
I love listening to other people’s stories and helping them with what ever they need. My goal in life is to inspire someone or change someone’s life through my actions and my accomplishments, but I am not planning on doing it alone. I am planning on doing everything along with God, because I believe He makes things possible, and I wouldn’t make it alone.
I literally owe my whole life to God, my savior. And you may think I’m too young to be so devoted to God and believing in Him, etc… but I do it because I love it and because I believe in Him. He means so much to me and I felt like including Him in my blog because He means so much to me, because He is the reason of my existence, my success in life, and my happiness.
