Multimedia, or audio/visual storytelling, is an increasingly important part of journalism. Techniques to successfully learn this type of presentation is one of several that students at the Dow Jones News Fund Journalism Diversity Workshop at the UA School of Journalism learn each year. Students use their own smartphones or inexpensive cameras to capture audio and video, and they edit with iMovie, an affordable and readily available program.
